Every day.
Make. Your. Bed.
Doesn’t matter if it isn’t when you roll out of it. After your morning constitutionals. Or half way through the day. Or even just before you flop into it at the end of the day.
Make. Your. Bed.
Why?
Because it is the thin end of the wedge… the end of the ball of string… the starting point for building bigger habits that improve your life and wellbeing.
It isn’t just me who says it- there is a stack of research to back me up on this.
Many ND’s find themselves in a pool of overwhelm most of the time.
I know the drill:
Too much to do, not enough time.
Brain is sooo full of things it cannot focus on one thing.
It’s a wonder I get out the house on time… and most of the time I don’t (or have to leave so early so as not to be late… I arrive way earlier than I need to be anywhere)
Doing this one tiny thing is enough to shift something in your brain. Even if you don’t manage to remember to do it every day to begin with.
It helps.
It starts a shift.
That is all you need to change your life.
A starting point.
For my clients it may not be making the bed. It might be something completely different and seemingly unimportant- like changing the loo roll when it runs out. It doesn’t matter. It is a starting point.
